Chair in Non-Invasive Brain-Machine Interface CNBI
WELCOME to CNBI
the Defitech Foundation Chair in Non-Invasive Brain-Machine Interface
We are a team of researchers led by Prof. José del R. Millán at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. The focus of our research is on the direct use of human brain signals to control devices and interact with our environment. We are involved in a large set of complementary projects, which balance the development of prototypes —where robust real-time operation is critical— and the exploration of new principles.
CNBI is small enough to be friendly, but large enough to provide a stimulating research environment. We hold a weekly research meeting, and also have regular social gatherings.
CNBI is part of the EPFL Center for Neuroprosthetics and Institute of Bioengineering (IBI).
We invite you to navigate our website and find out more about us and our work.
